Wesley Station Preschool is a non-profit ministry of Fairview United Methodist Church. Named after the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley, Wesley Station Preschool is a God-centered, early learning center for children age 3 through age 5.
Wesley Station Preschool is an educational center that provides a fresh approach to early childhood learning from a Biblical perspective. Our mission is to create a loving and safe learning environment in which children will explore the world God has created and their role and purpose within it. We will encourage children to make good choices and provide positive reinforcement, fostering self confidence, and allowing children to see themselves as persons of worth to God.
Curriculum aligns with Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood and includes Language, Math, Science, History, Cooking, Health and Physical Education, Music and Art, and Christian Character Education. Kindness, strength, and integrity are emphasized. Students will engage in hands-on activities and educational games as they work toward meeting the necessary requirements of kindergarten readiness and advanced learning.
Pathways for Preschool provides our youngest learners with enjoyable age-appropriate activities that encourage participation in every major area of learning—personal and social development, letter and number recognition, and motor skills development. Through the use of ideas, games, songs, and activities, this colorful preschool program encourages creativity, keeps preschoolers’ interest, and instills an early love for learning. We emphasize hands on learning and learning through play for our youngest students.
Footsteps for Pre-Kindergarten presents an active, hands-on learning environment that includes individual activities and group activities as well as engaging classroom centers for learning through play. Daily phonics, pre-reading, and math lessons explore foundational skills while age-appropriate music, science, language arts, social studies, and handwriting segments give preschoolers opportunities to explore their world. It offers flexibility for all types of learners all stages of learning.
Wesley Station reinforces our core curriculum with Learning Without Tears (handwriting), Heggerty Phonemic Awareness lessons, SnapWords, Prodigies (music theory and lessons), as well as creative movement, science, Spanish, American Sign Language, and outdoor exploration.
